Jacob Reedy

Research & Development Engineer




Jacob Reedy joined AAG as a Research and Development Engineer in 2016. He has tailored his education, work, and research experience to help satisfy his passion for space exploration and advancing knowledge and human presence in space. At Adaptive Aerospace Group, Jake is supporting NASA’s Commercial Crew Program by simulating the vehicles’ re-entry phase and performing analysis on their guidance, navigation, and controls systems. He has also developed Monte Carlo analysis software for MATLAB/Simulink® simulations and conducted research on off-nominal effects applied to small UAS’.  Jake is an alumnus of North Carolina State University where he received his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering for work analyzing the stability of spacecraft bang-bang control systems. Jake’s research interests include spacecraft dynamics, rocketry, vehicle entry, descent, landing in various environments, and maintaining human health and safety in space.
